Tainted Lullabies Poem by =m-richelieu:iconm-richelieu:

Tainted Lullabies
A Poem

Angels float about his head
in the dusty room
lit an eerily quiet blue.
He turns to look at me again
to make sure I’m still here.
He stares and I smile back again.
His countenance softens
and his brow relaxes
as his eyes give off a loving glow.
I stare at his hands,
large and roughened.
Where has that little boy gone?
I feel the waxen flower behind my ear.
I remember the barter
that put me here.
He smiles at me,
and for the smallest second,
I see—
no, no, it was just a trick of the light.
Stubborn and endearing,
he's changed so much now.
I hear the boards creak beneath his weight.
He stands before me.
He holds my chin and brings my eyes up to his. He stares into me and he smiles
unaware of my fleeting thoughts of treason.
He kisses my temple as he cradles my cheek.
I gasp and he steps back,
fear in his eyes.
I try to stay calm.
It’s too much the same as that day.
I tell him the truth.
It quells his panic.
He nods and his eyes swim in nostalgia.
He sits next to me.
I see his hand with his trembling fingers
clutching the cloth that covers his leg.
I put my hand on top of his.
His fingers relax and the muscles yield.
I lace my fingers with his own, both hands slender.
I kiss his cheek and rest
my head against his shoulder.
He gasps a little and his shoulder becomes supple, with his fear lost.
I can’t leave him.
Not just because of our childhood promise.
Not because I am afraid.
I’m not any longer.
I live for these moments,
though they’re few and far between.
When I see him, endearing and sweet,
as the day we traded
a flower for a flower.

Look up That's My Flower and Tainted Lullabies.

The story is by FallenHeartAche

Read it, it's really good.

So, here it is for all you peoples.*heart*

FallenHeartAche said I could use this, so yeah, I am. This is for her That's My Flower Series, and as a way of showing her how much I liked it. It's also to show the one who want to see Tainted Lullabies continued. It's sorta proof that I'm working on it.

I'm not a poem person, so it probably sucks. I'm sorry, I'm a wannabe writer, not poet.

I don't know how to do links, but once I do, I will link everything in succession.

Can someone tell me how to do links, pwease?

Aww, sweetheart that's wonderful. I think you did a lovely job. The poem flows well but isn't jumbled with rhymes, I like that. I think it's really nice, and too sweet of you. I'm so glad you have taken such an interest in the series, thank you. You write very well, I look forward to reading more of your work. Kudos.
so cute i love it so much ^__^
Thanks, my buddy Erik is getting all his Shonen Jump and manga so I can do research. My subscript got cancelled part way through the exams. So, it makes me sad. But he wants to help, which makes me happy.

Thanks, I'm really glad you liked it. It means a lot. I hope to have something up by the end of the month. I have the beginning of the Chunin exams but my friend is going to get me the rest. So, it'll work like that I hope. Secret is, I write for at least a few weeks before I put up anything, so that it's timely and flowy. I'm glad you like my style.

You're very welcome, it was an honor to have a poem written based off my storyline. If you want to read the rest of the manga online this site here is pretty good.
